ROCKCUT RACE WEEKEND
An Outport Trail Running Experience

Rockcut Race Weekend includes 3 distances: ROCKCUT ULTRA (50K), HALFCUT (23K) and SHORTCUT (9K).
Twillingate is one of Newfoundland’s most breathtaking outport communities. This trail running event showcases the rugged North Atlantic coastline, scenic historic fishing communities, and immerses runners in the charm and warmth of Twillingate.
All three events will take place on September 26th, 2026.
Registration OPENS on January 1 @1PM.
PRICING/REFUND POLICY
Rockcut Ultra 50 – $93
Halfcut – $73
Shortcut - $73
NOTES: A 2.9% +.30c credit card fee is applicable. HST is not applicable.
If you need to cancel for any reason prior to July 31st, a full refund will be given (less any processing fees).
After July 31, you can transfer your bib to another participant but no refunds will be given. If you can’t make it on race day, you can have a friend pick up your swag bag but we will not ship them to you.
ROCKCUT 50K
The 50K ultramarathon traverses Twillingate's South Island on mostly coastal single track trails. The terrain includes rocky beaches, quad/cow paths, roads, boggy stretches and stunning single track coastal trails.
There are 7 aid stations, all of which include water, electrolytes and nutrition.
Total elevation is approximately 5,300 feet.
HALFCUT 23K
The 23K traverses Twillingate's North Island on a mix of terrain including rocky beaches, quad/cow paths, roads, boggy stretches and stunning single track coastal trails.
There are 4 aid stations, all of which include water, electrolytes and nutrition.
Total elevation is approximately 2,909 feet.
SHORTCUT 9K
New in 2025, the SHORTCUT is a challenging 9K loop. You'll traverse Twillingate's North Island on a mix of terrain including quad/cow paths, roads, and stunning single track coastal trails.
There will be 2 aid stations with water.
Total elevation is approximately 1,049 feet.
