Runner Information

VIDEO BRIEFING:  A race briefing will be posted to Facebook prior to Sept 25th.

RACE REGISTRATION:  September 26th between 3pm & 9pm at The Performing Arts Centre (5 Church Lane, Twillingate). BRING YOUR SIGNED WAIVER  (Will be sent via email).

RACE DAY CHECK IN AT ST. PETER'S ANGLICAN CHURCH:

ROCKCUT 50 - 6:30 - 7:00 AM

HALFCUT 23+ - 9:15 - 10:00 AM

SHORTCUT 9K - 10:15 - 10:40 AM

(All runners MUST check in on race day)

START & FINISH:

ALL 3 distances start and finish in Snellin's Cove, as referred to by locals. On charts, it's called Dumpling Cove. To get there, you come onto North Twillingate Island (A left at the main T intersection when you arrive in Twillingate). Take a left where you see signs for the Twillingate Museum, St. Peter's Church and the Wooden Boat Museum.  There is a large parking lot on your right. The actual start/finish line is down the dirt road and just past the cemetery.

CUT OFF TIMES:

ROCKCUT 50K -  42 KM/2:04 PM (If you have not arrived at the 2nd Little Harbour Station (Station 4) by 2pm, you will not be allowed to proceed).

HALFCUT 23K  - No official cut off, although the stations will no longer be manned after 4:04 PM, or 6 hours.

SHORTCUT 9K - No cut off.

PARKING:

There is limited parking so please carpool or walk to the start if possible. There is some parking at the Wooden Boat Museum/St. Peter's/Twillingate Museum parking area. You can also park at the schools and/or from various rest stops. If you see pylons, those spots are reserved for race officials and emergency responders.

TOILETS:

There will be two port-a-potties near the start, and the Wooden Boat Musuem and St. Peter's Church washrooms will be open for use. The Anchor Inn is a short walk away and can also be used for restrooms pre-and post race.

AID STATIONS:

ROCKCUT 50K - There are 7 aid stations (~9K, 19K, 22K, 27K, 32K, 42K and 47K). Water, Gatorade & food at stations 1 - 6, water at station 7.

HALFCUT 23+K - There are 4 aid stations (~5K, 9K, 15K and 19K). Water at all stations. Gatorade at station 2 (Light House) and 3 (Wild Cove).

SHORTCUT 9K - There are 2 aid stations (~4K and 7K). Water at all stations.

Water, Gatorade and Snacks will be at the finish line for all runners.

DROP BAGS (ROCKCUT 50K only):

Bring your drop bags to runner check in on race day. Drop bags will be waiting for you at the Little Harbour aid station (~22 & 27K)

SWEATER DONATION:

If you wish to wear an old sweater to the start line, there will be collection bins and all items will be donated locally.

TWILLINGATE FIRE DEPARTMENT FUNDRAISER:

Twillingate's Fire Department will be at the finish line again this year with hot dogs ($4), burgers (5) and pop ($2). Bring cash to support.

AWARD CEREMONY & PARTY

Join us at The Performing Arts Centre to celebrate the day!  It's BYOB so come prepared with your beverage of choice. Doors will open at 7:30. Awards will commence at 8:30. Band to follow;)

SWAG

If you are registered to run and do not end up participating in the event, you can pick up your swag bag at registration or have someone pick up on your behalf. We will NOT mail swag bags. If they are not picked up on race weekend, the contents will be donated.
